The custody suit at Falkirk Police Station is getting a massive upgrade to support the needs and requirements of people being held there.
It's hoped the work will improve the environment and increase efficiency of processing those arrested.
There will also be a new discreet area for vulnerable people.
As it stands, anyone arrested by police will be taken to Dunfermline Police Station until work is completed, but it's not yet known when that will be.

Chief Inspector Nadine Aliane said: "The safety of our staff and those within our care in custody is our top priority and there is a plan in place to maintain an appropriate level of custody provision for the region.
"The refurbishment will create a modern custody charge bar, which will assist with the privacy of individuals.
"It will ensure we can fully support any needs and requirements people may have while in police custody.
"The upgrade plan also includes a partnership workspace to enhance collaborative working between officers and local policing partners, making it easier to make referrals to relevant agencies.
"This work will not affect ongoing business.
"There will be no disruption to Falkirk Sheriff Court business and Falkirk Police Station will remain open to the public as normal and staffed throughout."
