Falkirk locals urged to stop feeding horse over fears about unborn foal

Locals in an area of Falkirk are being asked to stop feeding a pregnant horse over fears about its foal.

Its owner says that vets are becoming increasingly concerned about the size of the unborn foal.

The horse still has around 8 weeks to go until it's expected to give birth.

A post on Facebook reads: "Hi this is an important message. Can you lovely people who normally feed me STOP doing it as my vet is really concerned for me as my foal is getting too big inside me.

"And if it gets too big I won't be able to foal it or I will have it too early and it will die.

"I've still got 8 weeks to go so I don't want anything to happen to my foal so please, please don't feed me till I have had my foal.

"I'm in the field across from my pal she has had her foal you can feed her as she is OK to be fed.

"We are on Kincardine Road, Carronshore. You can still come and say hello to me. Thank you Louise xx."
