Falkirk flower planting appeal to help bring colour to village

People in Bonnybridge are being urged to bring a trowel and help add a bit of colour to the village this week.

A community flower planting event has been organised for this Friday, June 16 at 1.30 pm.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Sunken Gardens, Wellpark Terrace, Bonnybridge.

It is hoped as many volunteers as possible will attend to plant around 150 flowering plants.

If people have a trowel or spade, please take it along on the day, and all are welcome to help.

Falkirk Council has donated the plants and former members of Bonnybridge Community Council are organising the planting.

The event will also be attended by local councillors Jack Redmond and Bryan Deakin.
