Falkirk East and Linlithgow MP Martin Day is encouraging local businesses to sign up for the 'Scotland Loves Local Gift Card.'
It is being rolled out across 32 local authority areas by the Scottish Government and can only be spent exclusively within each region.
The gift card aims to drive local spending, particularly after many small businesses struggled to stay afloat because of the pandemic.
It can also be used at participating online retailers as long as they have a 'bricks and mortar' presence within the specific local authority area.
Martin Day said: "Supported by the Scottish Government, the card can help drive spending locally - so I would encourage Linlithgow and East Falkirk businesses to sign up to allow it as a method of payment. It's quick, simple and free."
Businesses who want to register to receive payments via the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card can register free of charge here.
