Falkirk Council's Good Neighbour Award scheme open for nominations

It's been a difficult year for many of us and the coronavirus pandemic certainly hasn't helped.

Many people have had to shield and rely on others, sometimes a neighbour has had to help out, so now it's your chance to say thank you to someone who has gone above and beyond.

Falkirk Council's Good Neighbour Award scheme has opened for nominations and they want to hear from you.

Whether it is an act of kindness during the pandemic or small deeds over a number of years, the Housing Services team wants to hear about it.

In the past people have nominated their neighbours for keeping their area tidy, helping elderly and vulnerable people with shopping, or helping with household chores.

So if you have a neighbour who has gone the extra mile, you can nominate them by emailing the local authorities Housing Services team with a brief description of why they deserve the award: tenant.participation@falkirk.gov.uk

Rewards are given to winners and those who nominate can have a say in what the prize may be.
