Falkirk cops step up patrols after off-road motorbikes used in woodland

Police in Falkirk are stepping up patrols in a wooded area of the town following the use of illegal off road motorbikes.

Officers say that throughout this week and weekend, additional resources will be deployed to Callendar Woods to catch those responsible.

It follows a number of complaints from locals nearby and dog walkers in the area.

Anyone who sees or hears the vehicle's being used there is being urged to contact cops on 101.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Local community police officers have been conducting foot patrols in Callendar Woods this week in relation to reports of illegal off road motorbike use.

"It is illegal to use off road bikes without the express permission of the landowner."
