Falkirk cops issue warning to McLovin wannabes after increase in use of fake IDs

Cops in Falkirk have issued a warning to people using fake ID in a bid to purchase alcohol in bars and restaurants.

Officers say that since restrictions have eased, there's been an increase in the number of people purchasing the cards online.

It's a criminal offence to use one and could land you with a criminal conviction if caught.

Posting on Twitter, a force spokesperson said: "Since re-opening of licenced premises we've seen an increase in the use of fake ID's.

"Either using someone else's ID or have been purchased online.

"For all the wannabe McLovin's out there - using a fake ID is a criminal offence and can lead to a criminal conviction."
