Falkirk area residents woken by 'reckless and inconsiderate' yobs setting off fireworks

Residents in parts of Falkirk have hit out at "reckless and inconsiderate" yobs after being woken by fireworks over the weekend.

A number of people have taken to social media in a bid to find those responsible after incidents during the early hours of yesterday and this morning.

People in Grangemouth and Polmont have reported fireworks being let off between 1am and 2:30am both days.

Police Scotland say that they're not aware of this and are are urging anyone with information to contact them.

One person said: "Rockets going off at this time. Inconsiderate."

"I' getting sick of this now, that's the past two mornings I've been woken by fireworks going off. It's not on and not.", said another.

A third commented: "I have PTSD, and always dread this time of the year, but to be shaken out of my bed at 1:30am two days in a row by the sound of bangs, is very distressing for me and my wife.

"I'm begging whoever is responsible to stop this."

A fourth wrote: "My dog has just had puppies and they are terrified. Please can the people that are doing this stop? It's really not fair. And I'm not just saying this as a pet owner."
