Falkirk area primary school to reopen tomorrow after heating issues

A primary school in Falkirk will reopen tomorrow.

Wallacestone Primary School, in Wallacestone, was unable to welcome kids back from their Christmas break today due to an issue with the heating system.

Parents were alerted to the problem via a text message last night.

It read: "We have just been informed that heating in school is broken & cannot be repaired until tomorrow.

"The school & nursery will unfortunately need to be closed tomorrow (Wed 5th Jan). P1-7 remote learning will take place on Teams at 9:30am & 1:30pm.

"Please see school website for additional activities should you be unable to connect.

"I will inform parents/carers by early afternoon of the situation for Thursday.

"We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause & hope you understand this is outwith our control."

A Falkirk Council spokesperson told Falkirk Live: "We expect the school to re-open as usual tomorrow."
