Motorists in Falkirk are being urged to be even more cautious while out driving over the next few weeks.
Police appealed to road users as schools close for summer holidays and more young children will be out and about.
Areas around the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel are likely to be very busy with families over the next 6 weeks.
Cops warn that children and teens can become easily distracted.
In a tweet, officers said: "Drivers, now it’s the school holidays, expect to see more children out walking and cycling.
"Children are often easily distracted when near or using our roads and unsteady and unpredictable whilst cycling.
Give them plenty of room and remember their vulnerability."
