Falcons work out 4 punters, will reportedly sign Ryan Allen

For so long, fans took the Falcons’ dynamic special teams duo of Matt Bryant and Matt Bosher for granted.

With Bosher on the injured reserve list, and Bryant cut last week after struggling in Week 8, the team will have two new faces starting at punter and kicker in Week 10.

Atlanta brought in four punters for workouts on Monday, including Ryan Allen, Matt Darr, Johnny Townsend and Jacob Schum, as reported by The Athletic’s Jason Butt.

With today’s practice out of the way, the Falcons will be working out punters Ryan Allen, Matt Darr, Johnny Townsend and Jacob Schum, per sources. Team hopes to sign one by the end of the day.

Ryan Allen, the former Patriots punter, will sign with the team after today’s workout, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Allen and recently-signed kicker Younghoe Koo will make their Falcons debuts on Sunday against the Saints.
