Falcons sign former Wake Forest punter Dom Maggio

The Atlanta Falcons signed former Wake Forest punter Dom Maggio to a one-year deal, the team announced on Monday afternoon. Maggio, 22, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2020 NFL draft.

The Falcons drafted punter Sterling Hofrichter in the seventh round of last year’s draft, but general manager Terry Fontenot said he was going to add talent to all positions.

Maggio averaged 43.7 yards per punt over his four seasons at Wake Forest.
