Falcons sign former Vikings K Blair Walsh

Blair Walsh is getting another shot in the NFL.

On Saturday, the Falcons signed the former Vikings and Seahawks kicker.

The #Falcons have added a kicker to their completion, signing Blair Walsh following the struggles of Giorgio Tavecchio. A Georgia Bulldog, Walsh is back home.

The Vikings drafted Walsh in the sixth-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Walsh was one of the best kickers in the NFL, making the All-Pro team, connecting on 35 of 38 kicks, including a perfect 10-for-10 on field goals 50 yards or longer.

But after that, we saw Walsh’s confidence deteriorate, with the lowlight being his missed 27-yard field goal against the Seahawks in the 2016 Wildcard game.

Walsh then signed with the Seahawks, ironically, in 2017 and was 21-for-28.

If Walsh makes the Falcons, his first game (OF COURSE!) will be on Sept. 8 at U.S. Bank Stadium against the Vikings.
