Falcons sign former Saints DT Tyeler Davison to 1-year deal

The Atlanta Falcons have signed former New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Tyeler Davison to a one-year deal, per the team website.

Davison was a fifth-round pick for New Orleans in the 2015 draft. He’s played in 61 regular-season games since, starting 48. He has 3.5 career sacks, 11 QB hits and nine tackles for a loss.

There’s still a possibility that the Falcons are not done adding help at defensive tackle. The 2019 prospect they have been most connected is Houston DT Ed Oliver.

However, if Oliver doesn’t fall their way and they don’t add another, then we’ll have to assume either Davison or 2018 third-round pick Deadrin Senat will start next to Grady Jarrett next season.
