Falcons safety Keanu Neal ruled out vs. Colts with Achilles injury

Things went from bad to worse for the Falcons at the end of the first half of Sunday’s matchup with the Colts when safety Keanu Neal was carted off with an apparent leg injury.

Neal isn’t the only Atlanta player who’s gotten hurt today, either.

Running back Ito Smith also left the game with a head injury, while guard Jamon Brown was also temporarily down but looks like he may return.

Neal missed all but one game last season due to a torn ACL, so if it’s significant injury, it’s a devastating blow for Atlanta.

The Falcons trail 20-3 at halftime.

Update:

The team has announced that Neal has been ruled out to return due to an Achilles injury. Smith has also been ruled out with a concussion.
