Falcons S Keanu Neal fined for hit on Redskins TE Jordan Reed

#Falcons S Keanu Neal was fined $28,075 for unnecessary roughness for a penalty during the Aug. 22 game vs. Washington. This is the play that led to a Jordan Reed concussion.

According to a report by Ian Rapoport at NFL Network, Falcons safety Keanu Neal has been fined $28,075 for his hit on Redskins tight end Jordan Reed in preseason Week 3. The hit led to another concussion for Reed, which is his seventh since joining the league.

That’s a pretty significant amount for a penalty and Neal doesn’t have a history of making dirty plays. Neal has denied any ill intent.
