Falcons rookie defensive lineman John Cominsky is one of several players we will be watching closely in tonight’s preseason game against the Dolphins.
Cominsky is also excited for the second game of his NFL career. He shared a motivational message on Twitter Wednesday evening for his team:
Cominsky was one of a handful of standouts for the Falcons in last week’s Hall of Fame game against Denver. He led the team in tackles, recorded a sack and a tackle for a loss and also contributed on special teams.
While he looked great on tape, for what it’s worth Pro Football Focus didn’t grade him among Atlanta’s top-five defenders for the game.
In any case, Cominsky’s future looks very promising. He has a chance to follow in the footsteps of guys like Grady Jarrett and Damontae Kazee – both mid/late round draft picks who have become invaluable contributors for the Falcons defense.
