Falcons re-sign wide receiver Justin Hardy to 1-year deal

The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed wide receiver Justin Hardy to a one-year deal. The news was just announced on the official team website.

Hardy played his college ball at East Carolina and was a fourth-round pick by Atlanta in the 205 NFL draft. Since then, he’s played in 57 games, posting 76 catches, 751 yards and nine touchdowns.

Last season, Hardy played 221 offensive snaps, 20.8 percent of the team’s total. He should return to his role as the team’s No. 4 wide receiver behind Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley. The spot on the depth chart directly behind him is up for grabs with Marvin Hall moving on to the Bears.

Hardy also served as the team’s primary punt returner in 2018. He totaled 147 yards on 20 attempts.
