Falcons RB Kenjon Barner pays tribute to Rob Gronkowski after retirement news

Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from the NFL on Sunday evening in an Instagram post. Even though he’s not 30 years old yet, Gronkowski has had a legendary career, winning three rings and putting the best work on film of any tight end in his era. He’s a lock to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame when he’s eligible.

Gronk has suffered his fair share of injuries as well, so it makes sense for him to get out of football early. Since the announcement, players around the league have been sending their congratulations, including recently-signed Falcons running back/kick returner Kenjon Barner. Here’s the message he shared for Gronk on Twitter after the retirement news.

Barner has spent most of his career with the Eagles, but he played with Gronkowski and the Patriots for part of the 2018 season.
