Falcons backup running back Ito Smith left the game against the Rams on Sunday after taking a major blow to the head. Smith will miss the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Seahawks as he goes through concussion protocol.
Head coach Dan Quinn spoke about quarterback Matt Ryan’s ankle injury as well, but was unable to give a clear timetable just yet.
Ryan may not be in practice on Wednesday, but he still may be able to get out there if his ankle is feeling good enough by Friday. Stay tuned for more Falcons injury updates throughout the week.
