As first reported by ESPN’s Vaughn McClure, Falcons running back Devonta Freeman will be fined $14,037 for throwing a punch at Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
Matt Ryan had just thrown an interception in the second half of Atlanta’s blowout loss in Week 7, and Freeman was clearly frustrated. This resulted in a lopsided skirmish between he and the much larger Donald.
Freeman was ejected, and although the fine was expected, the Falcons tailback is likely to appeal.
