Falcons open as 2-point favorites over the Cardinals in Week 6

Things keep getting worse for this 2019 Falcons team. In Week 5, they had a halftime lead over the Texans, only to lose the game by three touchdowns and fall to 1-4 on the season.

Coming into the year, this felt like a 10-12 win team. While it’s still technically possible for Atlanta to go on a run and make the playoffs, it doesn’t seem probable with how bad the team’s played in its first five games.

That’s why it may be somewhat surprising to see the Falcons picked as 2-point favorites for their Week 6 matchup with the Cardinals. according to BetMGM.

Arizona is coming off of their first win of the season, defeating the hapless Bengals in Week 5. The team returns to Arizona for this Sunday’s matchup with Atlanta.

First-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury and first-overall pick Kyler Murray haven’t exactly set the league on fire offensively. In Week 5, they finally put things together, though.

Murray threw for 253 yards and rushed for 93 more on the ground. The Falcons, meanwhile, gave up over 400 yards, and five touchdowns to Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson in Week 5.

The two teams will face off at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
