The Atlanta Falcons are flying high after a Week 2 win over the Eagles on Sunday Night Football. The oddsmakers in Vegas aren’t quite yet believers though, as they have the Indianapolis Colts as the early favorites when they host Atlanta in Week 3.
According to BetMGM, the Falcons are 2.5-point underdogs against the 1-1 Colts. The over/under for the game is 47.5 points.
This may be a little surprising to fans who saw their team pull off an upset over a favored Eagles team last week. And while there were some real bright spots in the Falcons’ win, there were plenty of red flags as well.
Matt Ryan threw three interceptions and the team couldn’t run the ball effectively for the second week in a row. Plus, Philly suffered injuries to Carson Wentz, DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffrey, Zach Ertz and more.
Atlanta will have to prove last week wasn’t a fluke and win a road game against a surprisingly good Colts team if they want to start being favorites again.
