The Falcons failed to get an extension done with star wide receiver Julio Jones as many fans had hoped on Thursday. While Jones has handled the situation about as well as possible, even he didn’t seem too know exactly what the plan is for Week 1 if they can’t get a deal done before Sunday’s opener in Minnesota.
Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter spoke about the situation today, reiterating that Jones will be ready whenever he ends up getting on the field.

Koetter said he has confidence in Atlanta’s other receivers if Jones does in fact sit out in Week 1.
While it’s true the team has no shortage of weapons, there’s only one Julio.
