Falcons match donation from Jamon Brown for Louisville pools

According to a report by WHAS11 in Louisville, Falcons guard Jamon Brown has donated $5,000 to help keep four area pools open this summer. The team matched that amount, bringing the total to $10,000.

This isn’t the first time Brown has stepped up for the community recently. He also paid for the funeral expenses for a local child who died from injuries sustained from his father after he lost a video game.

Brown played his college football at Louisville before he was picked by the Rams in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft.

After playing with the Rams for three and a half years, he was waived in October of 2018. Soon after, Brown signed with the Giants and finished out the final eight games of the 2018 season with them.

Atlanta signed him to a three year, $18.75 million contract this offseason. At the time, we projected Brown would start at right guard. However, the team has since used a first-round pick on Chris Lindstrom, which raises questions about where Brown might be playing.

The most likely path for Brown to start in 2019 is to beat out James Carpenter for the spot at left guard.
