Falcons make another change to Dan Quinn’s 2019 coaching staff

The Falcons still need to extend Grady Jarrett and give Julio Jones a raise. They are taking care of the smaller things, though. On Monday, the team finally hired its much-hyped game management coach. Former Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton will take on that role as a senior assistant. Atlanta also signed backup linebacker Bruce Carter to a one-year deal.

Today, the Falcons continued shaking up head coach Dan Quinn’s staff for the 2019 season. According to a report by D. Orlando Ledbetter at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, pro scout Bob Kronenberg will become an assistant to offensive line coach Chris Morgan.

“Bob Kronenberg, who’d been working with the Falcons as a pro scout, was moved to the assistant offensive line position. Kronenberg, 47, will be charged with helping offensive line coach Chris Morgan as they try to re-shaped the offensive line, which gave up 42 sacks last season.”

A former offensive lineman himself, Kronenberg has been with the organization for the last eight seasons.

Improving the under performing offensive line should be the team’s top priority this offseason.
