Atlanta’s defensive line has gotten good pressure all game against Washington but hadn’t taken advantage of it until Adrian Clayborn caused an errant throw by Case Keenum that was intercepted by Takk McKinley.
McKinley returned the pick 19 yards to the Redskins’ 33-yard line. After a few nice plays from Atlanta’s first-team offense, Ito Smith ran it in from the five-yard line for his third touchdown of the preseason.
The Falcons lead the Redskins 7-6 at halftime.
