It took the Falcons a while, but they finally got on the scoreboard late in the first half against the Broncos.
Third-string quarterback Kurt Benkert brought more life to the offense than Matt Schaub when he subbed into the game. He led a strong drive to close out the half, punctuated by a laser to undrafted wide receiver Shawn Bane to put Atlanta at the goal line. That led to this short touchdown pass to backup running back Brian Hill.
The score is tied 7-7 going into the second half. The Falcons will get the ball to begin the third quarter.
