Atlanta lost a physical matchup to Carolina on Sunday, blowing an early lead and dropping to 3-4 on the season. The Panthers struggled in the first quarter and it appeared the Falcons were going to have a great chance at securing their third straight victory and first winning record of the season.
After a quick 10 points in the first half, Atlanta was shut out in the second half by Carolina’s stout defense and ferocious front seven. Falcons head coach Arthur Smith addressed the media following the team’s 19-13 loss in Week 8.
