Falcons fear OT Kaleb McGary has sprained MCL

The Falcons lost starting right tackle Kaleb McGary early in Sunday’s game with an apparent leg injury. Following the team’s 40-39 loss to the Cowboys, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Atlanta fears McGary has a sprained MCL.

McGary, one of two Falcons first-round picks in 2019 will have an MRI on Monday. He had an up-and-down rookie season, but was showing progress in year two.

In the interim, Matt Gono should be the team’s starting right tackle.

Gono played well during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.
