It’s that time of year for NFL players to be upset about their ratings in Madden. This time around, Falcons defensive end Takk McKinley is the most vocal opposition to his rating on the team.
McKinley earned just a 78 overall rating from EA Sports, which brought on this tweet:
McKinley’s career sack numbers (13 total in two years) may not be quite at an elite level, but 78 is awfully harsh.
Consider this: last season Takk had the third highest pressure rate (15.6 percent) of any EDGE defender in the NFL, and his rate was higher than that of superstars like Khalil Mack (14.2%) and Von Miller (13.9%).
Eventually, those pressures are going to turn into sacks. McKinley could have an explosive breakout year with a little bit of luck. If that’s the case, Madden will have to give his rating a big in-season boost.
