The NBA Finals wrapped up on Thursday night, with the Toronto Raptors claiming their first title over the Golden State Warriors.
One guy who’s taking the news hard is Falcons defensive end and Warriors superfan Takkarist McKinley. Takk goes all out in support of his team on Twitter when they’re in the playoffs. Last night, he live-streamed his reaction to the end of the game. As you can imagine, he wasn’t thrilled.
A while later, McKinley posted an update, saying he was still crying.
Losing in the finals is bad enough. Golden State may have also lost two of its top three players for next season. Kevin Durant suffered a torn Achilles in Game 5 and will miss the 2019-2020 season. Last night, Klay Thompson tore his ACL, raising doubts about his status for next year, as well.
Takk admitted that this one hurts for real.
