Falcons coach Quinn: 'We are not looking for any calls' vs. Seahawks

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. _ Falcons coach Dan Quinn queried the NFL after Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman dragged down Julio Jones and didn't draw a flag on a key play in the Week 6 loss. Quinn called league officials again after Chargers cornerback Steve Williams wasn't penalized for grabbing Jones on a late play the next week, another Falcons loss.

Those episodes prompted Quinn to urge his team to finish games stronger so that officials can't affect the outcome. To that end, he said he's not mentioning the Sherman play to his players before the rematch with the Seahawks on Saturday in an NFC divisional playoff game.

"We basically said we are not looking for any calls," Quinn said Tuesday. "From a receiver standpoint getting up, 'Aw, where's the call?' or defensively (it's) the same. We want to let our play be the judges. That attitude and toughness that we want to play with, that to me is the most critical thing. When you are hoping for a call or want something different, I think you lose your edge."
