Falcons coach Dan Quinn on loss to Vikings: ‘We missed the mark badly’

The Falcons suffered a 28-12 defeat at the hands of the Vikings, who thoroughly trounced Atlanta from the jump. Offensively, they couldn’t find a rhythm and Matt Ryan made too many mistakes. On defense, they could not slow down Vikings running back Dalvin Cook at all.

After the game, Atlanta’s head coach coach Dan Quinn called it like it was, saying the team had missed the mark badly.

Opening the season on the road against the Vikings in one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL was never going to be an easy task, but the Falcons have the offensive pieces to be able to compete in games like this. Nevertheless, Minnesota has now shut them down in four straight meetings.

It’s back to the drawing board for Quinn and the Falcons as they turn their attention towards another tough matchup with the Eagles.
