Falcons blow 16-point lead in 4th quarter week after epic collapse

The Atlanta Falcons had a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter a week ago against the Dallas Cowboys and managed to bungle it into a 40-39 defeat.

Lightning never strikes twice, let alone in a week, right? Wrong.

The Falcons led the Chicago Bears 26-10 Sunday and the magic man Nick Foles earned a victory in relief.

Foles was 16-of-29 for 188 yards and three TD passes, all in the fourth quarter.

The trifecta duplicated the effort in the final 15 minutes by Mitchell Trubisky in the Bears’ season-opening comeback against the Lions.

The Eagles’ Super Bowl hero relieved an ineffective Mitchell Trubisky as Chicago remained unbeaten, downing the flopping Falcons, 30-26.

Of course, the week before against Dallas, the collapse was lowlighted by Atlanta botching an onside kick attempt by Dallas.
