Falcons announce inactives ahead of desert matchup with Arizona Cardinals

The Atlanta Falcons head to Arizona for their Week 6 game against the Cardinals. You can view the team’s inactives for today’s matchup below, as tweeted by William McFadden:

Punter Matt Wile as well as cornerbacks Desmond Trufant and Blidi Wreh-Wilson won’t play. With Trufant and Wreh-Wilson out, the Falcons will be starting rookie Kendall Sheffield and Isaiah Oliver on the outside. Jordan Miller will likely come in during nickel sets with Damontae Kazee likely to play more of a safety role.

Punter Kasey Redfern was signed on Saturday to play in place of Wile for the Falcons in this game. Defensive tackle Deadrin Senat, running backs Qadree Ollison and Brian Hill, and offensive lineman Matt Gono are all the usual inactives, so it’s not surprising to see them on the list again today.

Wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus has a shot today to make an impact in his first opportunity with the Falcons. Also, recently-signed cornerback D.J. White will get his first shot as well.
