T1 star players Faker and Keria ranked every League of Legends Worlds champion, sharing their take on which teams defined greatness and cemented their legacy over the past decade.
Among the 14 Worlds winning teams, T1 hold five titles. This naturally influenced Keria’s choice to place the team’s dominant 2015 run at the top because he believes that was the “strongest” SKT roster when he started watching League. He recalled MaRin’s iconic Fiora performance as a defining moment of that era while ranking the Worlds win. That year, T1 went undefeated until the finals, closing the tournament with a 3-1 victory over the KOO Tigers.

Coming in second, it’s T1 again, but the recent 2023 campaign gave the ZOFGK roster their first Worlds win, bringing the organisation’s tally to four. Next in line is DAMWON Gaming’s 2020 run. Keria pointed out that none of the teams wanted to pull them during the draw phase.
T1 return in fourth place with the 2024 campaign, during which the team won the Worlds twice in a row for a record second time. Samsung Galaxy White’s 2014 campaign comes in fifth. SGW later became the Gen.G we know today, but they gave SKT T1 a run for their money back in the day.
Back to SKT T1 again. The team landed their first Worlds win in 2013. Faker said it was “easy,” so Keria put it high initially, but it was finalized at the sixth position. Next, it’s the first Chinese team, with iG securing a win to bring glory to China in 2017.
T1 made their last appearance on the list with their 2016 win, when SKT won 3-2 against Samsung Galaxy in the finals. Faker won the MVP award for his performance.
At ninth, we’re reaching the bottom half of the list, with Samsung Galaxy taking revenge on T1 in China with a clean 3-0 win. Next, we have the Taipei Assassins, known for their underdog run in 2012. The team defeated every Korean team on the way.
Fnatic came in next with their maiden Worlds title in 2011. Keria gave them props for setting up the roles and lane concepts, which eventually became fundamental for every professional team. They take the 11th spot on the list. The 2018 FunPlus Phoenix run was magical for China, but T1 and Faker, with a grin on his face and a friendly banter, kept demoting them down the list. He, however, gave them credit for bringing fresh strategies to the meta.
The list ends with DRX’s 2022 Cinderella run and EDG’s 2021 because they can’t boost the morale of their rival LPL teams at Worlds 2025. We’ll have the 15th winner of the Worlds title on Nov. 9 at this year’s championship.
