There's nothing worse than an even streak-free tan on your arms ruined by bright orange hands and knuckles.
But a TikTok account run by two sisters claims to have solved the dilemma, showing their followers the easy way to get evenly tanned hands.
The Hondrou Twins who have amassed more than 56k followers for sharing their fake tan tips and tricks.
The latest video is in response to a user asking for a video demo on how they tan their hands as they say they can never get it right.
The video shows one of the TikTok duo removing their fake tan glove to reveal white hands. They then instruct their followers to rub the lines into their hands so they aren't obvious, before pumping out tanning mousse and rubbing it all over their hands.
The twin says the key to the trick is to keep your hand in the 'claw shape' so you get the tan into the knuckle lines.
To avoid the palms of the hands looking extra dark, she then uses a towel to remove the excess tan from the palm of the hand.
The clip which has been viewed more than 132,000 times in just three days has also prompted some confusion from social media users who say this is definitely not the best method.
One user said: "Oh my days, not the way to tan your hands."
Another said: "No, no, no don't do this. use a foundation brush and a tiny spec of tanner."
But other users were impressed with the hack, one wrote: "I tried this way and it worked pretty well. I still need to practice more tho to get it perfect."
