Fake Liverpool FC branded cocaine, face masks on trains and 'fuming' mum

Large shipment of cocaine with fake Liverpool FC branding seized

Police in Paraguay have seized a large haul of cocaine wrapped in fake Liverpool FC branding.

Special agents made the discovery when they raided a house in Pedro Juan Caballero last Wednesday (November 24.)

Police seized 500 packages of cocaine and later announced the haul was around 215KG.

The cocaine was wrapped in fake Liverpool FC branding, which included the world famous Liver Bird.

We went to find out if people are wearing masks on Merseyrail

It is now compulsory to wear face coverings on public transport in the UK.

This weekend Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the new measures would be brought back in from today as the country prepares for a potential battle with the concerning Omicron variant of Covid-19.

Locally, before today the Merseyrail network says it has been encouraging people to cover their faces on journeys but has not been able to enforce this.

There has been frustration from some at the lack of people wearing masks on board our local trains, despite Covid still being a real issue in our community.

Mum 'fuming' as school ma kes kids eat lunch outside in ‘freezing cold’

A mum was fuming after her daughter came home from school saying she was forced to eat outside in the cold and refused entry to the toilet.

Pupils at Woodchurch High School in Wirral have been forced to eat outside with only a '10 to 15 minute window to collect their lunch and go to the toilet’ before being told to stay outside the building.

Louise Easton told the ECHO this issue has came to a head after her 11-year-old daughter was made to go outside despite the ‘freezing and wet’ weather on Friday.

Louise said: “I found out about this because my daughter is in year 7 and she told me this was happening."
