Fake Kawhi Leonard was nearly as popular as the real one at the Raptors parade

Raptors fans got a big surprise Monday during the team’s championship parade when Kahwi Leonard — noticeably smaller and, for some reason, dressed in full uniform — decided to join the people in the streets to celebrate the franchise’s first title. The NBA Finals MVP signed autographs and took pho– wait a second … that’s not Kawhi Leonard. It’s just some dude with cornrows wearing a Raptors jersey.

He’s not even wearing the authentic Raptors shorts. That should have been a huge red flag. Along with the fact that this guy looks about 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds.

I don’t blame this little boy for being fooled by the imposter, but how are there adults falling for the ruse? And if they aren’t, why are they asking for his autograph? Also, is Fake Kawhi signing as Kawhi? Or is he just signing his real name?

I have so many questions. Hopefully, Fake Kawhi is a bit more talkative than the Real Kawhi and is willing to talk about his scheme. Give us answers, fake Kawhi!

There is no truth to the rumor that the Lakers are planning to offer Fake Kawhi a max deal that includes all of the apples he could want.
