Fake delivery driver drags unconscious woman through house in CCTV footage of home invasion

A fake delivery driver “seriously assaulted”  three people during a daylight robbery at their own home, police said.

A 14-year-old girl and her grandmother were among the victims, their family said.

After knocking the 61-year-old woman unconscious, the raider was caught on CCTV dragging her through the house in Luton.

He is then seen doing the same to her 14-year-old granddaughter, whose jaw was fractured in a flurry of punches..

When the girl’s aunt, 27, rushes downstairs to help, he can be seen repeatedly striking her too.

Dressed in a high-vis jacket, the assailant was filmed moments before the attack as he walked up to the property, carrying a large box and rung the doorbell.

Although the CCTV – taken from a camera inside the hall – does not capture what happened as the door was opened, a commotion can be heard before the attacker comes into view, pulling the unconscious grandmother into the kitchen.

He left her before pulling through her granddaughter.

The aunt, who appeared from the stairs, was then punched several times.

Speaking broken English with what is described as an East European accent, the attacker escaped with just two family Hi-Fis.

The family, who are Chinese asked not to be named. They said they had been left in a severe state of shock by the incident on Monday morning. They posted footage on Facebook in a bid to capture their assailant.

A relation told The Sun: “My niece is only 14. She was very badly hurt. It was one really has strong punch. She is in hospital and will have to have surgery tomorrow. She has fractured bones.

“When my mother heard her screams he punched her and knocked her out cold. She had internal bleeding and is being kept in hospital. They don’t want to discharge her for a couple of days.

“All he escaped with is two old-school Hi-Fi disc players. He does not take anything valuable he just hurt them. He was brutal.”

Bedfordshire Police confirmed they were investigating the incident but said there had been no arrests.

A spokesperson added: “We were called at approximately 10.40am on Monday (September 2) to a report of a burglary in Luton which resulted in three people being seriously assaulted.”
