Faiz Fazal guides Lisburn 1st to T20 title

NAGPUR: Former Vidarbha skipper Faiz Fazal scored a half century to guide his team Lisburn 1st to title triumph in the LVS T20 Cup final at The Lawn, Waringstown Cricket Club in Ireland on Sunday.

Faiz's 45-ball 58-run knock helped Lisburn 1st go past the 127-run target set by Waringstown 1st in the final of the tournament conducted by Northern Cricket Union of Ireland.

Thanks to Faiz's knock, which contained six boundaries, Lisburn 1st chased down the target in 19.2 overs losing seven wickets. Faiz was the only batter across both the teams to score fifty in the final match. The next best score for Lisburn 1st was 19 by Neil Whitworth.

Earlier, sent into bat, Waringstown 1st were bowled out for 127 in 19.1 overs with Josh Manley (3-23) and Ryan MacBeth (2-18) doing most of the damage.
