Ethically-minded shoppers will have plenty to choose from this weekend as the regular Leith Market hosts a special fairtrade event this weekend.
As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, the Dock Place market will have thousands of fair trade products for sale at various stalls.
The much-loved vegan quarter will be back, with FacePlant Foods serving up plant-based snacks.
They'll have vegan cheese grilled sandwiches with ingredients you can buy to take home. The event starts at 10am and runs until 4pm.
Organisers say: "Fairtrade Fortnight is almost upon us and, as Edinburgh is a Fairtrade City, we wanted to do our bit to promote this important topic.
"Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
"By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices, Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers.
"It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives."
They add: "At our Fairtrade market you will find friendly, smiling, local, independent Fair Trade traders with imaginative and interesting products ranging from chocolate, coffee, and foodstuffs, to home items, embroidery and woodcrafts, clothes and backpacks. Fair Trade is so much more than coffee and tea: with more than 6,000 products to select from."
