A myriad of premium Otop products normally offered for in-flight shopping are now available at special prices during the Otop Prestige: Otop to Fly fair at Seacon Square, Srinakarin Road, until SundayJune 2.
Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior's Community Development Department, the event is a rare opportunity to shop for more than 600 items of premium-grade Otop products that are usually reserved for passengers onboard Thai Airways aircraft.
At the fair, four groups of products -- jewellery, pottery, fabrics and accessories -- are brought directly by Otop manufacturers from across the country without any middlepersons, making the prices much more attractive.
Among the highlighted jewellery are Sukhothai vintage gold ornaments, hill-tribe accessories and ceramic accessories from Lampang, accessories made of blue tie-dyed fabric from Sakon Nakhon, Tubsuang Takao necklaces from Surin, silver accessories from Nan and pearl jewellery from Satun.
Pottery includes Celadon products from Chiang Mai, Benjarong porcelains and ceramic ware from Maha Sarakham, gold niello bowls from Nonthaburi, and cat-shaped ceramic products from Samut Prakan.
A variety of Thai fabrics on offer are mostly from the North and Northeast such as natural dye fabric, mudmee silk, Tai Lue woven textiles, silk woven fabric, Phraewa silk, tie-dye morhom. There are also Yanliphao woven bags, decor items made from egg shells and other natural materials.
