As the pair continue to bicker, Mairead rejects Will’s offer of help.
She then makes the move to break off her engagement with fiance Damien, despite his plea for her to them to save their relationship.
Elsewhere, Ali and Dean enjoy planning for the future, but their happiness is short lives as Ali realises she has some big decisions to make.
Carol encourages her to think carefully about her career decisions and after thinking about the situation, Ali decides to break up with Dean.
Later on in the week, Ali is disappointed at Carol’s cold farewell as she gets ready to say goodbye and Dean blames Carol for her leaving.
Later on, love sick Dean suffers another blow to the heart when he misses saying goodbye to Ali.
Bosco then finds himself having to act as peace-keeper when Dean and Carol have another altercation.
