Fair City star gets married in stunning Spanish wedding with fellow RTE star as celebrant

Fair City actress Nyree Yergainharsian has tied the knot with her partner in a wonderful wedding in Spain.

The Irish TV star, who plays Melanie, got married to photographer and videographer Patricio Cassinoni in Sitges in the summer of 2022. They made their marriage official in the Dublin registry office the month beforehand, RSVP Live reports.

They became husband and wife thanks to Nyree's RTE soap star friend Rebecca Grimes acting as celebrant on the day.

Nyree told RSVP Live: "We got married in Spain in September last year. It was very small, it wasn’t a big wedding.

"There were only about 30 odd people at it. We only wanted our nearest and dearest there."

Rebecca Grimes, who plays Hayley Collins in Fair City, also flew to Spain for the special celebration of a friend.

George McMahon, who plays well-known character Mondo, also got married in Spain in August 2019 and Ryan Andrews, who plays Seán Cassidy, is due to wed there this summer.

Nyree stated: "Rebecca was our celebrant, which was fantastic. She did a great job and, obviously, she knows how to hold a room."

The pair are close friends on and off the set.

She said: "We are both incredibly lucky and we know that. We are incredibly grateful to see each other at work. When I first started on Fair City, Melanie was working for Hayley in Comet and we spent a lot of time filming together."

She added that the pair love the show and are both "so invested" in it.

Both Nyree and her husband Patricio love the arts. He is a videographer and photographer.

"During Covid we did this project together called ‘Quarantine’. We created a photo every day at home for 70 days and some of it was mad. We found everything and anything we could in the house and it was all inspired by what was happening at the time.

"Some of the things took all day to stage. It took forever and we did it every single day, so it really filled the time."
