Fair City’s George McMahon’s closest family and friends will gather in a big country house in Spain as he marries dancer Rachel Smyth.
Dublin Live can reveal the actor will be joined by Dave O’Sullivan, who plays Decco Bishop, and Ryan Andrews, who portrays Sean Cassidy, on the Costa del Sol on Thursday.
Former castmates Jenny Dixon, who tied the knot last month, and Killian O’Sullivan will also be in attendance in Nerja.
George, who plays Mondo, revealed the couple have created their own ceremony and a friend is going to be the celebrant.
He said: “It is going to be a nice short ceremony because it is obviously going to be very hot and we don’t want people sitting there for an hour-and-a-half listening to us rambling.
“I am really excited about getting 80 of our friends over to Spain. Nerja is like our spiritual home. My mum lives there and it is our little hideaway to escape for a holiday a few times a year.
“We are looking forward to seeing our friends and family enjoying themselves in the town, drinking and eating in the local hot spots in the build-up to the big day.”
George, 33, proposed on the rooftop of Dublin’s The Marker Hotel last September.
The couple are also parents to 14-month-old Frankie and she will have a special role on the day.
