Hughie gets stressed when Jackie doesn’t answer any of his calls and Heather doesn’t help by adding to his despair.
Pete tells Hughie that Jackie has spoken to Doug.
Meanwhile Pete gets suspicious about Hughie and Heather’s relationship despite Dolores warning him not to read too much into it.
Pete confronts Hughie and tells him he’s not family in front of Jackie, pushing him to the brink leading Hughie to break down and have a drink.
And things get worse as Heather walks in on him and encourages him to keep going.
While he continues to drink, she stops Bob and Renee from checking in on him.
Heather assures Hughie that she’ll keep his night of drinking between them.
Cass ropes Tessa into helping her with organising the street festival.
Cristiano praises Dean but Tessa is too busy for any thoughts of romance.
Tessa asks Dean to talk about the details of the festival over a drink but Cristiano tells him that she has an ulterior motive.
Cristiano and Dearbhla tease Dean about Tessa getting his hopes up for the date.
But he is silently disappointed when she turns up wanting to talk about the festival.
Sharon is worried about the house deposit so Anto rallies all the family around.
Hayley has a plan to boost the family earnings.
Sharon reassures Lee when he feels like he hasn’t done enough for the family.
Nora and Ray have a not so warm encounter and Ray tells Robbie to keep an eye on Nora for him.
But Robbie turns it around on him telling Ray that he’s the problem.
Carol tells Robbie that Nora is distressed because of an interview about the laundries but Robbie is unwilling to dredge up the past.
He tells Nora not to go through with the interview.
