Fair City spoiler: Christmas chaos with James back up to old tricks and Joan left reeling from message

The drama continues tonight on Fair City as Renee vows to turn the Community Centre into a winter wonderland.

All while Bob and Olwen show interest in playing Santa.

Erica and Doug agree to bring baby Nora to visit Santa in Renee’s grotto.

The new parents then decide to have a family Christmas, but Erica worries about Sharon being alone.

Renee baulks at Hughie’s choice of tacky Christmas decorations.

Olwen makes her desire to play Santa clear but Renee is unconvinced.

But as she struggles to cast a Santa last-minute, Bob and Olwen throw their hats in the ring. And Renee is bowled over by a mystery Santa’s audition

Elsewhere, Anto asks Carol to persuade Sharon to attend his community Christmas dinner once again.

Zoe welcomes Carol’s idea of inviting Rafferty for Christmas.

Later, a badly beaten James shows up at Carol’s door looking for Rafferty. Zoe tends to James’s injuries and he offers her a sincere apology for abusing her.

Carol sends James packing and berates Zoe for falling for his manipulation.

Rafferty is given pause for thought when James tells him that without his help, he’s a dead man.

Meanwhile, Joan rejects Dearbhla’s invitation to spend Christmas dinner at the Dillons’, but Dearbhla is determined to change her mind.

Joan agrees to spend Christmas with the Dillons, but Dearbhla remains concerned for her.

Joan is left reeling when she hears a message from her adopted son, Matthew, on Cian’s phone.
