Fair City's Aoibhin Garrihy announces she's expecting her third child

Actress Aoibhin Garrihy took to social media make the announcement that she and her husband John are pregnant again with their third child.

The former Fair City cast member posted a picture of herself with daughters Hanorah and Líobhan at the beach onto Instagram, with the caption: "Three under 3 will be a crowd this summer but we can’t wait!"

The news was met with much fanfare from followers with Aoibhin's sisters Ailbhe and Doireann Garrihy commenting: "Hurry up littlest one" and "speaking from experience, the 3rd is the gem.”

Other bug names in Irish media welcomed the news, with presenter Kathryn Thomas congratulated the mother-of-two, commenting: “Ahh Aoibhin....What gorgeous news!!!! Huge Congrats to you all.”

Irish TV producer Maia Dunphy also congratulated the couple, writing: “Oh my God! Lovely news!!”

Presenter Sile Seoige said: “Aw amazing! Huge congratulations to you all.”

Aoibhin is best known for her role as Neasa Dillon on Fair City, before moving to Co Clare with her husband and starting her own health and wellness brand Beo.

In an interview with the Mirror, Garrihy joked that she wouldn't return to Carrigstown unless her character came back with a pram and "kids hanging out of her," but admitted that she missed being on set from time to time.

“The behind the scenes stuff. The craic that we had on set and Catherine Byrne who played my mom was just a tonic, she used to be like an agony aunt and she actually acted like our mother and she used to give permanent therapy sessions in the dressing rooms every day.

“So we miss that and like us all we miss all those connections with people.

“Beo is what I love and my passion and it’s keeping me busy.”
